Allow us some chauvinism. AnnaGrace (born as Annemie Coenen, 1978, Herk-de-Stad) has been – until further notice – the only Belgian musician who defeated Moby in a direct contest. It all happened at the 2002 Top of the Pop-Awards. Allow us some chauvinism. AnnaGrace (born as Annemie Coenen, 1978, Herk-de-Stad) has been – until further notice – the only Belgian musician who defeated Moby in a direct contest. It all happened at the 2002 Top of the Pop-Awards. Annemie, at that moment Ian Van Dahl’s front lady, won the much contested and desired Dance Award for the song Castles In The Sky; she grasped it right from under the noses of Moby and Basement Jaxx. “I really don’t know the winner that well,” Moby said afterwards. “Now I know why Moby uses Martians in his video clips,” Annemie answered. “Kinda unworldly, huh.” The world press could not get enough of her quotes, and all of a sudden everybody knew la Coenen. Her international career was finally launched.

And look! Today, eight years later, the Limburg ambassador is still a cosmopolitan. She has performed for large audiences, from Brazil (YouTube: planet pop sao paolo) to England (YouTube: gatecrasher festival), which has left her with a lot of stage experience. The result of all this performing? A new album by AnnaGrace, the name Annemie Coenen carries since she has put her cooperation with Ian Van Dahl on hold. Does the new concept work? Of course it does! Celebration was a pre-release to her new album, Ready To Dare. A mosaic of fresh pop tunes and feel good dance melodies and, thank you Peter Luts, up-to-date beats. Ready To Dare? Why? Because the singer is – after ten years of performing – aware of her capabilities. More than ever. She writes her own songs, which cannot be taken for granted in the dance scene. And of course, with Ready To Dare, there is link to the world of fashion, one of AnnaGrace’s long time passions. AnnaGrace is ready to celebrate her love for music, ready to take over the world! Flashback to the Top of the Pop-Awards anyone? AnnaGrace won more than the dance award! She also received the award for best-dressed artist. A world star, after all!

Originating from the Dutch city of Haarlem, Ricardo de Graaf and Maikel Dollé started their musical journey together several years ago. Discovering the art of electronic music early on, this duo was led from the energetic pulse of the German rave sound to the ancient beats of Enigma. Being strongly inspired along the way, they were convinced it was time for them to start producing their own electronic music.

Their first endeavors, after combining forces, resulted in catchy trance tracks and a remix for the legendary Cirque du Soleil. After this successful kick-off, they both produced several dance tracks and initiated the popular lounge project “Dulcis Domus”. The first two singles of this project were received very well and to this day are still used on several lounge and world music compilations.

At the end of 2010, German producer Rolf Maier Bode (better known as RMB, named after the very successful dance project from the late ‘90s) brought out his latest album to date. For the album “Thirteen Nights”, Ricardo and Maikel remixed the track “Muxed”. This remix was supported by numerous dj’s worldwide and was nominated for the Depeche Mode award 2010 for best track.

Ricardo and Maikel have recently started a new Hardstyle project called BSSNVDRS, where they can express their true personal identities. Their heart has always been in the harder styles of dance music and now they’re ready to take things to a different level. Pulling inspiration from their earlier work and combining their own personal skills, these two guys are redefining the feeling of bass.

They’ve signed with the Italian Hardstyle label DFC Restyle, a sub-label of DFC. Ricardo and Maikel are now listed between the ranks of Ramirez and The KLF, just to name a few. DFC is also now teamed up with Arsenic Sound, formerly home of the Record Label Titanic Records from Technoboy and Tuneboy.

To top it all off, The BSSNVDRS will be hosting their own stand at Dancefair 2013, an educational event for everyone related to the Dance industry. At their stand, visitors and colleagues alike, can prove their worth in a Hardstyle workshop. Revealing their own tips and tricks of the trade, anyone is welcome to stop by and learn a thing or two about the passion that drives this duo.

Rotterdam based live-act formed Guevara & Paul Gasille. Influenced by deephouse, techhouse, minimal and techno. What started as a live experiment at their SKUG party, resulted in being one of the freshest new live duo’s around nowadays in the House and Techno scene. Both share the same love for diverse music styles and sounds, but together they have a distinct sound. Their aim is to bring high quality, organic sounds together with infectious grooves to the floor.

Building steady tracks is one thing, but performing and remixing their own tracks live is the absolute power of Klankarbeit. That being said, with releases on Michel de Hey’s EC Records and Mauro Picotto’s Alchemy Records, it’s obvious their productions speak for themselves. Their long awaited and latest release together with Nina Kinert; ‘Art is Hard’ is rocking floors worldwide and already has full support from: John Digweed, Gel Abril, Kruse & Nuernberg, Martin Eyerer, Guy J, Michel de Hey and Nick Warren to name but a few…

Just over two years later they already performed in numerous clubs and several big events throughout the Netherlands such as Solar Festival and Music Republic, and even played in Berlin. In 2012 you can expect new releases and remixes on EC Records, and even more fresh tracks ready to be cooked and served during their live sets!

Springlights leans towards post-dubstep, a musical stream full grown in England but still on the rise in the Netherlands. Springlights’ sound is both ominous and heart-warming. Light as well as dark and hefty.

Their first EP features – Jeffrey Vonk (production), EtienneHarteloh (drums, guitar) and Anouk de Ruiter (vocals) – guests David Blom (guitar) and Sebastiaan van Bokkel (guitar). For two years Vonk and Harteloh worked together as a duo, joined by Anouk de Ruiter, Springlights is in full throttle.

Impressed by what they had heard, B-Front, Chain Reaction, Frequencerz and E-Force, played those sounds through the speakers of Defqon.1, Bassleader and Loudness.

Then, at the age of 16, the boy was signed to Fusion Records as Thyron.

Those who are close to Thyron would always say that once he starts something, he won’t let it go until it’s finished. Rest assured, just like his dedication and perseverance, the sounds of Thyron will captivate ravers from start to finish.

So far, Thyron has performed at Loudness 2013 (Maassilo edition), Inshock Overdose: Titan’s Angels and Restylerz (Frequencerz Special). What will he do next? Only time will tell..
